I’ll admit, a majority of my photos end up being of Brad…. or my cats. After all, they are what is around me most. Occasionally the camera gets turned on me or in this case, my dog nephew Grover.

A lot of my photos are taken because I use Twitter. Some of my old Twit-Pics made me laugh seeing them again. Carter, age 6, is responsible for the dinosaurs on the battle ship. I remember his explanation for this being so funny to me I immediately tweeted it. Super Tiny Lucky Cats need no explanation. And the lobster head… well, that’s what happened when Marsha and I were in China Town trying to order at a non English speaking dim sum restaurant.

When I was in Boston, the majority of my photos were with my SLR. I had three photos from the trip on my phone. One from on the plane, one of the line you follow to walk the Freedom Trail, and a photo of the Polaroid I found with the camera I bought in a thrift shop.

Debbie was radiating as she made her way to where Jim was hiding below for their first look as bride and groom. As she approached Jim, the passion in the way he looked at her was truly that of the movies. That moment felt as if we were all watching two people complete a long journey to the place they were meant to be. After months of planning their wedding day was finally here, the day they would both get to celebrate finding one another with all the people they cared about.

The ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful Vina Robles vineyard where Tami of Fleur had created a breathtaking assortment lemons and flowers. When the reception began Trumpet Vine Catering provided hors d’oeuvres and appetizers that were almost too pretty to eat, but we did (and it was delicious). Sean, the DJ, did an amazing job keeping the whole wedding flowin’ and the dance floor groovin’. It was also a pleasure to once again to work with videographer, Brad Cordova and having photographer Coy Townson assist. I was so honored to be a small part of this lovely day. Congratulations Debbie and Jim!

As it turns out, it’s not that different from a wedding, and it didn’t take me long to get attached to this team just like my wedding couples. There is nothing I love more than a team who just flat out plays hard. These girls have a lot of heart, hussle and team spirit. They are also super tough. They are the last ones to let go of the ball in a jump, the first ones to dive after it, and if they get knocked down they are the first ones back on their feet. After a pre-season of ups and downs, the girls came out with a bang and made their first league opponents take notice with a sizeable victory. Since this is what has been occupying my Tuesday and Friday nights as of late, I thought it was time to share some of my work with you all. Hopefully this is just the beginning for these girls. I wish them all the best of luck!

Last Friday there was a particularly special moment that came out of an unfortunate incident. One of the girls I really enjoy watching is a quick little guard, #32, who is always hustling, stealing the ball, and even knocking down some 3′s. Late in the fourth quarter she was knocked down to the floor in a scuffle for the ball. In typical #32 fashion, she instantly hopped back up to her feet. Sadly though, her knee was seriously injured and did not want to accommodate her usually toughness. She tried to walk it off but with every step she took I was worried she was going to fall back to the floor. Her teammates were immediately at her side, and even ended up carrying her off the court when she needed their help. I am so sad she was injured, and I hope she is able to get back on the court soon. However, it was a truly special team moment and the epitome of what this team is all about.

I thought it was so funny that I happen to have two similar photos from different games. You wouldn’t want to get in the middle of these two girls.
