Katherine and Matteo’s Kern County Museum Wedding

I fell in love with Katherine and Matteo’s love story the minute I heard it. A girl falling in love in Florence, Italy … it’s so romantic. Matteo and his family are from Italy. It is tradition to marry in the bride’s home town, and so they chose the Kern County Museum. What better setting to represent Bakersfield? The day was a collaboration of some of Bakersfield’s best wedding vendors and I was so lucky to be there to capture every moment of it. From the centerpieces, to the flowers, to the music, to the food…. every detail was thought of and executed beautifully.

The couple didn’t see each other before the ceremony. It was held in the chapel and the reception took place under a tent that was literally transformed into a ballroom in the middle of Pioneer Village. Katherine had two amazing dresses. Her second dress was also a surprise to Matteo, and so we did do a mini reveal of her party dress under the neon signs at the museum. Then the couple returned to the party to finish dancing the night away. It was really difficult for me to chose these images to blog but I did my best. So here are some of my favorites.
