I first met Heather when I started doing photography for the Pink Cross, and you may have seen her in quite a few photo shoots lately. She modeled for my Christmas card, band t-shirts, and I almost got her arrested once for “jumping” off a bridge. So, I was extremely happy to return the favor and do a shoot of her choosing when she told me her parents were coming to visit her in California for Christmas (all the way from Indiana). In Heather’s own words, “My dad’s an artist/photographer and rides a Harley, my mom’s crazy good at Interior Decorating and loves to shop, and I’m a rock and roller who helps porn stars and has an outfit for every occasion. SO, this is my family. Whatever we do, I want it to be an atypical family photo shoot. (I see you smiling) haha I’d love to do something that has a rock and roll edge and yet is sweet and sentimental.” I think we did just that. Her parents were an absolute joy to work with.
