This weekend I celebrated the birthday of one of my very best friends in Santa Barbara with a hike and picnic. The term Hike-nic was created just for the occasion. Now that the pain of the uphill hike is over and forgotten, I think it was a pretty cool way to celebrate. A beautiful view, gorgeous weather and some great people. I brought along my camera for the occasion. I didn’t shoot as much as I would have liked. Naturally, after declaring to Brad that I was not going to fall at all that day, I couldn’t help but stay true to my graceful self and fell twice during the excursion. After that I realized I needed to concentrate more on the walking and less on the picture taking. I did get a few in, and here are some of my favorites.
