It all started with a dress…

A few months ago my sister found this gorgeous vintage dress at a thrift store for $10. So, being the totally awesome sister that she is, she brought it to me thinking I could use it for a bridal shoot. The minute I saw it I couldn’t wait to plan a shoot centered around it! From there it spiraled into the photos you see here. I couldn’t get those old images of Bonnie and Clyde out of my head from the old 1967 movie. Most of my inspiration was centered around that, although I mixed and matched decades into my own take on vintage fashion. Then I found out we had permission to shoot at this salvage yard and the shoot became this beautiful classy take on grunge. As weird as it sounds, that is the best way I can describe it.

Big thanks is due to the models: Rigo Vindiola and Taylor Theis
Make-up Artist: Mary-Ann Jones
Coy Townson: owner of awesome location!!
My sister
And once again, the fellas at Urquhart Townson Design and Photography who had the connections for the awesome salvage yard and accompanied me on the shoot.

Here are some of my favorites photos:

August 24, 2009 - 1:07 pm Anonymous - Rigo and Taylor ROCKED in this shoot. Can't wait for the next one with these two models. Although I didn't do much, it was nice staying in the background for a change, allowing Jen to do her work. My dad is going to love seeing his junkyard imortalized. Jen, your finish work is top notch.
